Parents’ Night Performance

Each year following the last marching competition, the marching band puts on one last performance…this one just for the band parents, family and friends.  Check it out:

Old South Marching Festival

Where to start…how about Class Champions in Drum Major, Colorguard, Percussion and Overall Band.  Our kids might not have taken home the Grand Champion’s trophy but you’d never know by looking at their faces after the show last night.  There were tears to be sure…but those were tears of celebration, not disappointment and no one seemed to be immune.  It was one of those nights that trophies and placements really were second to emotions.

Mr. A made only one request of the kids last night…that their performance be the best of the season and that’s exactly what he got.  It was a performance he described as “one of the best in Northgate history”.

Congratulations to our kids and staff on a entire season well done!!

OK, who ordered the weather Friday night?  Rain then darned cold…At least the cold part was a good simulation for the conditions the kids would encounter at Old South Saturday afternoon.  The evening looked something like this…

Then the rain stopped and it got COLD!

Whitewater

The Whitewater game wasn’t quite as much fun as games past but once again, our guys didn’t give up.  Northgate hasn’t won every game but they’ve sure made it a fun season for us folks on the sidelines.  If you get a chance lot those guys know we’re all proud of ’em.

Trunk or Treat

Been a crazy busy weekend but I’m finally getting the blog caught up…

There were band kids, parents, siblings, dogs and even a green guy.  There were candy and spooky decorated cars.  There even were roasted marshmallows and s’mores.  Check ’em out…
